Luxury self catering holiday accommodation in Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight
see guest reviews here

The Isle of Wight is home to a diverse and interesting coastline encompassing many areas of outstanding natural beauty. What better way to unwind than to step back into that forgotten time where the pace is slow, the people are friendly and where you will be made to feel most welcome.

The charm of this small island serves as an irresistable attraction that brings visitors back time after time. "Waters Edge" is a modern, luxuriously appointed, spacious self catering 3 bedroomed town house on the edge of the Solent at Fort Victoria, just 10 minutes walk along the beach from the historic harbour town of Yarmouth.

Staying here you could lock up the car, discard your keys and enjoy the pleasures that readily surround you.
"Waters Edge" self catering accommodation comprises three double bedrooms with three bathrooms arranged over three floors, 25 metres from the seashore. It's lounge, dining area and master bedroom command uninterrupted panoramic views across the Solent to the harbour town of Lymington, and from it's balcony, a backdrop of exquisite sunsets complete the view of Hurst Castle to the west. The view is ever changing as boating activity creates an interesting variety to the panorama. Remember to leave your windows open to enjoy the peaceful sound of the water lapping on the shores edge and experience the tranquility of this excellent location near Yarmouth.

The self catering property is newly and very well equipped, 2007 being it's first season. We wanted to offer a home from home experience - soft leather furnishing, solid oak furniture, carefully selected mattresses with Egyptian cotton linen, soft fluffy towels along with a warm welcome to the Isle of Wight. The lounge and dining area accomodates 6/8 and a contemporary feature plasma fireplace ensures that cosy feel. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready to go and facilities include all that is associated with the comfort of modern self catering.

Within a stones throw, you can enjoy leisurely walks along disused steam railway tracks from Yarmouth to Freshwater along the Yar estuary (famous for its bird watching), adventurous walks incorporating The Needles and Old Battery and scrumptious dining with an amazing choice of truly different restaurants. Examples in Yarmouth include a new Bistro at The George Hotel or maybe superb fresh fish at the famous "Salty's" restaurant or a unique experience at the newly opened "On The Rocks" restaurant, where you cook the very best of island beef on a lava stone at your own table. All this within walking distance of your holiday home which is just five minutes drive from the ferry terminal at Yarmouth. Local beaches include Colwell, Totland and Compton.
